Following our company founder's involvement developing a SuDS road gully filter with a national housebuilder back in 2022, GNR Consulting's concrete foundation is set & synchronised with a value-led vision.

This 'eureka' moment widened his commercial & technical vision. GNR Consulting has formed strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers, Where we function in a niche space.

Proudly serving consultant engineers, developers & end-user contractors as a one-stop- shop solution for the civil engineering sector.

Dan Molyneux Managing Director


Dan started in the builders merchant industry back in 2006, following his release from Darlington FC as a YTS goalkeeper.

Dan started in the builders merchant industry back in 2006, following his release from Darlington FC as a YTS goalkeeper.

'Green as grass' he fell into the world of a civils contract sales office and 'drained' all of the information Monday to Friday in a highly professional, fast paced environment. In 2013, Dan secured his first ever external role and his year-in, year-out drive & determination secured multiple contracts & clients which remain to this day.

2022, Dan had what he would describe as the moment of his career developing a product with a national housebuilder, which to this day has been the catalyst as to why GNR Consulting Ltd was born.

solutions that seamlessly merge functionality and
sustainability.

Outside of the business, Dan still attempts to hit the gym 3 x times a week, get his golf handicap down to 10 (he wishes) and attend his place of worship on a weekend, which of course is St. James' Park to watch his beloved Newcastle United pick up three points!

Amongst all of that, he loves to look after and spend valued family time with his wife and daughter.

GNR’s Journey

GNR Consulting was born on the Great North Road in Gosforth, Newcastle.

The 'GNR' is known nowadays as the A1(M). This is the longest numbered road in the UK, at 410 miles connecting Edinburgh to London. Having already supplied to major projects on this road for tier one contractors like Costain & Balfour Beatty.

We are proud to support the construction & civil engineering industry via this stretch of highway with its supply chain partners linking into housing, highways, commercial, retail & rail projects across the UK mainland.

Here at GNR Consulting, we believe in giving back to the communities that support us. Our commitment to social responsibility is reflected through both our charitable contributions and our hands-on volunteer work.

We are proud to support the Sick Children’s Trust, a charity that provides vital support and accommodation for families with seriously ill children in hospital. Through donations and awareness initiatives, we are honoured to help families stay together during some of their most difficult times.

We are committed to continuing our support to ensure every child has their family by their side. For two consecutive years, we have taken part in a golf marathon, which entails FOUR ROUNDS of golf in ONE DAY. 26 miles, approx. 45,000 steps, no trollies or buggies at Bamburgh Castle Golf Club, both years raising nearly £9,000. A truly phenomenal effort and valuable contribution to the organisation.

In addition, we actively engage in commercial volunteering with Esh Winning Football Club, a grassroots football club with deep personal significance to our team. This is a club especially close to Dan’s heart, where he enjoyed some of the most memorable football of his Northern League career between 2006 and 2009, winning a league cup title and securing promotion.

Now, Dan and the wider team are giving back to the club at a crucial time, as a new generation steps up to lead. With fresh energy, ideas, and commercial support, we aim to help ensure the club’s future is just as bright as its past. It’s a project that holds even more meaning, with Dan’s dad also having served as a committee member during his playing days.

These partnerships are more than just sponsorships or volunteering—they reflect our company’s core values: compassion, community, and collaboration. We are committed to continuing this work and exploring new opportunities to create positive impact where it matters most.
