Case Study: WREKIN ARMADILLO SILTSHIELD
This is the first housing development GNR has supported for the Wrekin Armadillo SiltShield. The product was supplied and installed just before the Christmas break in 2025, so the gullies were prepared for the winter weather whilst there was no work taking place over the shutdown period. The project is situated in quite an affluent area in Southwest Teesside on a slope & existing residents being close by. With already increasing pressure by the environmental agency already being forced upon developers, this was an added incentive to install this system to also appease the local community & reduce jetting vehicles turning up on site for further disruption.
SiltShield took literally a matter of minutes to install, incorporated into the Wrekin Tristar 450x450mm matching gully grate & frame. The inner filter frame for the bucket clipped easily into the lugs on the internal piece of the D400 frame. The groundworker has maintained the buckets by using the safety lifting keys to remove the aluminum bucket, empty the debris, solids and wash down the geofabric sock of fine silts and sand.A tremendous result on this job providing peace of mind for the groundworker, developer & authorities for excellent silt & surface water management
