Case Study: SuDS Attenuation
1,920m3 attenuation tank in North Yorkshire. GNR Consulting brought this 1,920m3 attenuation tank project in North Yorkshire to Hydro WMS. This was via major stakeholder relations with the contractor delivering the project.
The tank, forming part of the storage for a housing development, is being adopted under a NAV and accessibility was a key part of the system design.
Due to the tank being balanced with an adjacent basin, the height of the overall structure was extremely limited, so as an independent specialist we were able to review a wide range of options and propose the best suited product.
The tank is sat beneath a sloping embankment, meaning that the depth of installation varied from just 2.0m at one end to over 5.5m at the opposite end in it's finished state. On top of this, the site compound, car park and storage yards are all within the vicinity of the tank and needing to be considered from a load perspective.
