ARMADILLO SILT SHIELD HIGHWAY GULLY FILTER PROTECTION
GNR Consulting is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Lichfield-based Wrekin Products. Predominantly known for their extensive range of manhole covers, gully grate + frames and geotextile products, they have combined these skillsets within their operation to introduce a brand-new high-performance road gully filter to the market....the Armadillo Silt Shield.
GNR Consulting has a deepened commercial & technical understanding of this sector and we are excited to deliver this into our trusted network of housebuilders, consultant engineers & end user contractors. The SiltShield identifies with a aluminium steel body (bucket) complete with a set of perforations at the base and side. It also features a filter sock made of nonwoven geotextile with a characteristic opening size of ~120 µm (0.12 mm). This is the USP of the product so it will capture most suspended fines, silt and sand while allowing large volumes of water to pass through. With a typical permeability of 110L/m².s, a well maintained non-woven filter sock will not impact the flow of the system. This system must be fitted into a D400 Wrekin Gully Grate & Frame, as the inner filter frame for the bucket clips into the lugs on the internal piece of the D400 frame. It comes complete with a set of lifting keys for the bucket to dropped into place and then lifted out with safety in mind, when the bucket is full and groundworkers can empty.
